Cindy Alter and Stewart Irving have achieved considerable success; both in bands and as solo performers, and have now combined their awe-inspiring talents to form ALTER-IRVING.

Cindy first achieved global success as the lead singer in Clout whose hit singles Substitute and Save Me achieved Top 3 success all over Europe. Stewart enjoyed considerable acclaim as the lead vocalist of Ballyhoo as well as topping local charts with his solo hits Superstar and Heart Of Stone. Their combined record sales are in excess 12ml worldwide.

Determined not to become “just another pub duo”, they have eschewed the use of backing tracks for their performances, instead relying on their vocal talents, gift for harmonisation and guitar playing skills.

“We were determined not to go down the road of using computer generated backing tracks because we wanted something more organic”, says Stewart.

“To be true to ourselves and keep it honest we chose to perform acoustically”, adds Cindy. “It has meant working hard to keep our guitar playing up to the high standard that we demand of ourselves”.

ALTER-IRVING play a wide range of covers, along with their solo hits as well as new songs they are in the process of recording for a forthcoming album.
